System Features

3M™ Automatic Image Quality Control from Imation™

The Imation™ Automatic Image Quality Control System consistently provides you with high-quality images. The system's built-in densitometer reads each film and sends image density data to the laser imager, which automatically adjusts the beam intensity to ensure images are printed according to your preset preferences. This process frees your diagnostic staff from the time-consuming task of monitoring and adjusting printing procedures.

IR Laser Imaging Film and Instant Daylight Load Film Cartridges

3M™ HQB and HQC Laser Imaging Films from Imation™ are designed specifically for the 3M™ 969 HQ Laser Imager Systems by Imation™ and provide unsurpassed dynamic range, maximum density, image tone and graphic quality. The films are packaged in 3M™ Instant Daylight Load Film Cartridges from Imation™ to make film loading a one-step procedure. Plus, a bar code gives the laser imager information about film size and type, and allows it to track remaining film quantity.

Imation Instant Daylight Load Film Cartridges eliminate the need for darkroom operations.

System Expandability

Your Imation service representative can expand your Imation™ 969 HQ Dual Printer into a full featured 969 HQ Laser Imager with a field installable upgrade kit.

Flexible Formatting

The 969 HQ Dual Printer offers the capability of 1:1, 2:1, 4:1, 6:1, 9:1, 12:1, 15:1, 16:1, 20:1, 35mm slides and up to four custom formats. The imager also supports the use of 8" x 10", 11" x 14" or 14" x 17" film sizes.

Improved Optics

The 969 HQ Dual Printer features a solid-state high-performance laser diode and improved optics for greater efficiency and higher image quality. Imation warrants the laser diode against defects for the life of the laser imager (under normal use and when used only with Imation Laser Imaging Film).

Advanced Film Transport System

The 969 HQ Dual Printer's horizontal film transport system provides your imaging department with exceptional reliability. A simplified film path drastically reduces the likelihood of jams and other interruptions for maximum uptime and continuous productivity.

Image Adjustment

You can select any two of 16 smoothing functions, including replicate and cubic spline variations, to adjust images for optimal quality.

Magnetic Field Performance

The 969 HQ Dual Printer can operate in a magnetic field of up to 100 Gauss while maintaining high image quality.

An easy-to-use control panel simplifies all operating procedures.
